Rain, Rain, Go Away!
When you’re selling at the same flea market week after week, you want to bring different items, so your regular customers don’t get bored. This becomes challenging, when the weather refuses to cooperate. So far in 2018, we’ve had TWO Sundays at Elephant’s Trunk where it hasn’t rained.
At Unusual Offerings, we feel that we’re caretakers of the items we’re selling until they find permanent homes. It pains us, when ephemera that’s lasted decades gets wet because it is on display in our stock. From the beginning, we’ve divided our stock into “wet” and “dry” categories. In the former, we can sell such items as ceramics, stone, metals, and a lot of jewelry. In the latter, we can add art, wood, clothing, leather, tools, and ephemera.
Although we think we’re prepared for what Mother Nature has in mind on a given Sunday, 2018 has motivated us to start selling online. Starting next week, we’ll post photos with short articles about goodies we have for sale, with pricing provided in the captions. Once something sells, we’ll add a “violator” to the photo, but will leave the post up.
We rotate our stock at the Elephant’s Trunk Flea Market, so be sure to stop by to see what new treats we’ve brought with us on this NON-RAINY SUNDAY!
